A very simple but well organized closet topped off with a totally neat custom jewelry drawer, with it's own lock. Lined in black velvet with high quality Lucite dividers for all the client's fun jewelry. The lock is not particularly burglar proof but certainly teen girl proof, if you hide the key. This new St. Helena Custom Closet was a winner and delightfully economical because is is basic for being simply organized. Created by Malka and constructed by my colleagues at RC Cabinets & Closet
A wardrobe, also known as an armoire from the French language, is a standing closet used for storing clothes. The earliest wardrobe was a chest, and it was not until some degree of luxury was attained in regal palaces and the castles of powerful nobles that separate accommodation such as a separate room known as a closet was provided for the apparel of the great.
This was a very simple and small job to do but was created to be very efficient and organized than before. With a few additions we were able to discard bits and pieces of furniture and file cabinets that were not maximizing the space and was making working at the desk difficult.
We constructed this new office space in industrial grade white melamine with 3/4" melamine counter, plenty of drawers for office supplies, two files and a pull out keyboard tray. The wires are still being organized to be more hidden. In the mean time this space has given the client far more desk and storage space without taking up as much of room as the other pieces were.
Yofi The Poodle The Poodle is believed to have come from Germany, bred from a water dog and was probably named for the German words Puddle Hopper. Here is Yofi the Poodle enjoying the aftermath of our Napa Valley storms and puddles.
I fell upon this wonderful paint source of gorgeous colorful chalkboard paint on Design Sponge awhile ago. Although my selection of paint was not as chipper as the many beautiful colors they make, this one fits into my home decor just perfectly. My home mainly consists of earth tones and the typical black chalkboard paint in most stores just do not match mine. The Hudson Chalkboard Paint coordinates far better for me and many other home decors that neither just want black.
My first project was to apply the paint onto the panels of my very plain front door so I can write fun notes to myself. I therefore created a little more spiffier of a door and a pleasure to look at.
One of the divine pleasures of my work with clients is in viewing their lovely homes. Most all of my clients are quite fastidious and their homes represent their personal preference to neatness inside and natural order outside. These views are of a home in St. Helena, CA. Their gardens included beautiful views, swimming pool, large yards, food gardens and their own old barn well preserved.
A created and wonderfully functional new home office in the newly remodeled office space for a client in Hopland, California.
I had no idea where Hopland was at first call but had heard of a famous brewery there, hence the name Hopland. I assume. Besides my drunken tour to Hopland, the home was beautifully nestled in the mountain range of Northern California on the client's cattle ranch. The home owner is seriously working on a book and needed plenty of work room and storage for his work space as well as wishing it to compliment the environment of the country ranch.
Constructed wood cabinetry with a cleanable laminate counter top to match. Plenty of file drawers, a wrap around counter on three walls of the room with an additional pull out counter shelf and a full wall of book shelving. Built and manufactured by hand, in excellence by my colleagues at RC Cabinets & Closets.
An old photo from Life Magazine of Joan Crawford's shoe closet including a Poodle. I would suggest cedar backing with all these shoes enclosed behind a door. Cedar wood will absorb some of the feet odor and will dry out some of the moisture that shoes absorb.
These two closets I custom designed for two teenagers, a girl and a boy. Now they have everything in place rather than scattered all over the floor. The boys closet had a slope from the stair case below, but we worked it out just fine since his needs were less than his sister's and unfortunately the girls closet was smaller, but we handled everything she needed. We also included another free standing dresser for her, not shown in the photo. Next step is to give them each a small desk with storage to do their homework.
All constructed by my team at RC Cabinets & Closet.
Saw this in Elle magazine, a great idea to glamorous a closet or a wall with functional art! Some of these wooded knobs can be found in Home Depot or Micheal's Craft Stores or Bauerware in San Francisco.
I created with this Vallejo client a metamorphosis of design for her condo home. From a unique old cabinet and television to a grand beautiful Custom Made Maple Television and Systems Cabinet.Of course my team at RC Cabinets & Closets did a fabulous job of constructing my designs.
What is amazing is that this Napa Home Office is not real wood but a high quality melamine with a photo of wood imprinted on it. Rich and gorgeous to look at, it is also very easy to maintain and clean. Never scratches like real wood, it is a high quality product. Not what you would find in a retail store, at least none that I have been able to find. I custom design these nice home offices and love to finally get the client well organized. I so much love my office. I cannot seem to work in mess anymore. My office has to be clean, neat and well organized for me to concentrate. Posted by Malka of RC Cabinets & Closets
