BUTLER'S PANTRY
BUTLER'S PANTRY:A butler's pantry is a utility serving room generally in a large home. It is primarily used to store serving items, rather than food. Traditionally, a butler's pantry was used for storage, cleaning and counting of silver.
In modern homes, butler's pantries are usually located in transitional spaces between kitchens and dining rooms, and used as staging areas for serving meals. They commonly contain counter tops, and storage for tableware, serving pieces, table linens, candles, wine, and other dining-room articles. More elaborate versions may include refrigerators, sinks, or dishwashers.
I grew up in an old in home in Los Angeles with a butler's pantry that actually had a floor foot button to hit to open the door while we carried the trays in to the formal dining room. It was a very useful room to stash all the dirty dishes quickly and still enjoy the meal before completely cleaning up.
The photos above are basic pantries I designed that are similar to what can be referred to the old term of the Butler's Pantry.

SCULLERY
SCULLERY:
A small kitchen or room at the back of a house used for washing dishes and other dirty household work. From Latin scutella ‘salver,’ diminutive of scutra ‘wooden platter.’
This is another word no longer in use in our modern world. But an interesting word to me.
The above photos are some examples of SCULLERIES that I have designed for clients. Most are located in Napa Valley. The top photo is actually a wine tasting prep room for Quintessa Winery. The second and third are part of a laundry room. The second sink section with the door cut out is for their cat litter box. The last small prep room is included in a kitchen pantry in Angwin and used.

LARDER
LARDER:
A room or large cupboard for storing food. ORIGIN Middle English (denoting a store of meat)
Another word of the cabinetry world to learn. Although no one ever uses this term anymore, we refer all similar such storage to a pantry.
The above photos are more photos of spaces that I designed also known as PANTRIES!

PANTRY
This is Olivia, and she comes to the pantry every day at 5:00 for her dinner stored in the green containers. Her home owner lives in Napa, Silverado Country Club.
A Chinese Doctor's Herb Pantry.
In the interest to clarify some words that deal with my special organizational cabinetry I have another new word to define.
PANTRY:
Is a small room or closet in which food, dishes, and utensils are kept.
Based on late Latin panarius ‘bread seller,’ from Latin panis ‘bread.’
