I forgot to make the introduction of one of our new colleagues that joined us, RC Cabinets & Closets, this last summer. Her name is Cocoa, and she is a spunky chocolate Labrador Retriever. She spends most of her day at our shop in Cotati, CA, greeting our visitors.

A family of four with a very small pantry needed the best plan to maximize the space. We used every corner, every wall and still made it easy access for great storage. Designed my me and constructed by my colleagues at RC Cabinets & Closets, the best crew west of the Mississippi.

CUSTOM HOME OFFICE

This is one of our most lovely home offices we created for a client recently. It is of nice and clean melamine with a Wilsonart laminate counter top trimmed in maple. The office has a place for all the computer components that can be hidden magically behind doors at the end of a work day. It also has two pull out work counters conveniently rolled away until needed. Of course created by the fine team at RC CABINETS & CLOSETS

This weekend while enjoying nature I cruised into Yountville to take a look at man's work with nature and order. This is an enchanting little rock garden some one created for Domaine Chandon Winery Center here in Yountville, (Napa Valley) CA. It was a perfect cool fall day to walk among the rocks where the oak leaves had fallen so gracefully around the mushroom rocks.

Really neat find in creativity I caught sight of at a client's home in St Helena. This is a light bulb covered with HOT GLUE. I cannot imagine how some one thought this up. The client told me she bought the bulb from an artist. I would love to get some or to make one myself. I did try and it was not that easy, I ruined the light bulb.

NAPA CUSTOM ENTERTAINMENT CENTER

Using the finest select maple I created a cozy home entertainment center for a Napa couple to enjoy their television and stereo. This wall system even includes their wine refrigerator to the left. With their leather arm chairs and ottomans, they are set for the best home relaxation at any time they wish. This lovely client was a pleasure to work with and I am so happy that they are happy.

Simple and nice but elegant and functional wall system treated as a family room entertainment center. We custom designed it in very high quality melamine for a client in St. Helena.

Beautiful days after the rains and I am appreciating the natural order of nature's bloom during my walk.

SONOMA CUSTOM ENTERTAINMENT CENTER

Custom designed entertainment center for a very satisfied family in Sonoma. A big screen television for Pop, the fire place is highlighted with art display for Mom, books and a surround sound system for the kids. Perfect family room gathering space for everyone to enjoy time together.The cabinetry was created using furniture grade solid wood, custom finished to match client's other furniture.

HOME OFFICE CABINETRY

Amazingly well designed home office to work and produce in. There is a place for everything and the extra printer and modem are stored underneath in a cabinet with easy access. For lightness of the room we implemented some glass cabinet doors but for other storage we used the solid cabinet doors. This office also includes an island for our client's to meet with their own customers as well as for the their children to do their homework at. The fine cabinetry is in solid walnut finished with a clear coat, and the counter is in a rich color contrast of Wilsonart laminate, known for it's durable hard work surface.

OAKLAND ARCHITECTURE

A bit of many influences in this architectural relief designs. Based on Roman Ionic with Corinthian leaves, and Radiation Center Flower but basically the details are entirely novel in conception of combination. Beautiful it is own right highlighting our world's influence in local buildings to enjoy by all of us walking by. I was on my way to a lecture at the AIA regional office, that is an Architectural lecture at their offices. These I viewed from the third floor parking lot in the City of Oakland

MEDIA CLOSET

A Happy Berkeley client enlarged their media room by adding to their walk in closet. They just had the big screen television installed on the wall in the media room and all their storage of media equipment and media library in the closet along the entry way. The entry way was too narrow for anything but a 4" deep shelving. Just enough room for all their D.V.D.'s and Music C.D.s. - terrific plan. The rest of the closet housed their clothing. The Lucite doors were installed to protect their fine woolen clothing from little bugs flying in. Of course in this photo they did not move in their clothing yet.

Yofi my poodle and I walking on the wooded trails of the Oakland Hills. A very old rustic path maybe developed over 50 years ago. What an adventure to have discovered on this cool sunny day.

CUSTOM PANTRY

This is an example of the beauty and brilliance of real walnut wood. Shown here is just a corner of of the closet where I created the space into a well functioning walk in pantry with adjustable shelving of different depths. I custom designed this for a client in Calistoga, Napa River County, California who also lives in Texas and travels back and forth. My crew at Innovative Design Group does all the cutting and fine finishing of the wood with several steps of sanding and coating to finalize the best quality.
