SIGMA KAPPA SORORITY AT U.C. BERKELEY
Long over due with young women at our local university's having more clothing these days, Sigma Kappa Sorority at the U.C. Berkeley campus had to re-think their dorm rooms decor. All the dressers they had in the rooms were cluttering the spaces and the wasted old fashion wall closets were not convenient or efficient any more. So Malka working with the Alumni and manger created these custom wardrobe wall systems with drawers, shelving and hanging rods for each of the sorority's rooms. Now the rooms have more space to add another bed or a couple desks for homework.
All constructed in excellence by CLOSET INNOVATIONS OF SAN FRANCISCO. The top photo is of the Sorority's royal old building on campus, the following photos are the before, the process, then the completion or rather "after."

A SAN FRANCISCO LANDMARK!
This was a unique old building I saw today while driving around San Francisco today. I was in San Francisco working hard on a Saturday designing a nice Closet Organizer for a new client. My colleagues at Closet Innovations to follow to custom build it.

ST. HELENA ORGANIZER
This beautiful Mud Room is in the back of this lovely home in St. Helena and serves as the entry for the family.
It is good practice in Chinese Feng Shui to organize and beautify the entry of your home. Since the home owners and their children enter through the back porch, it was a good thing to organize and decorate it so it creates a pleasant feeling upon arriving home.
I designed this Mud Room along with the client to fit the needs of her two children and husband. It includes a mixture of clothes hanging hooks, cabinets and open shelving.
Manufactured and installed by my colleagues at Closet Innovations.

CUSTOM CLOSET ORGANIZED TO THE HILT
Can you believe all of these drawers are full and organized. This client had to downsize to a home three times smaller than the house she moved from. Therefore an enormous need to call upon a Closet Designer that knows her stuff. Yes, after 20 years, I should. We maximized the closet and gave her the many drawers and adjustable shelving and clothing rods she needed so desperately. I am not sure if she can go shopping after this downs size, certainly she must purge before she does.
Closet Innovations and Malka's team again helped a gal out.

YOFI THE POODLE
Employee of Closet Innovations and partner to Malka; Yofi the Poodle is shown here visiting Andretti's Winery in Napa. Andretti's Winery is known for being dog friendly and Yofi and Malka stop off here for some Andretti Olive Oil, a delicious treat for my salads and popcorn topping.
Yofi is sporting her new summer nail polish color custom designed by Connoisseur Couture in Los Angeles.

I like this look in a closet; lots of fun clothing and an equally cute and fun young woman. The closet is custom designed of course and nicely painted in a blue. Many of my clients feel the closets should be a plain white or off white in fear that their clothes would clash with a colored closet. Yet here the blue compliments the clothing. Since clothing closets have a multitude of colors why not the closet cabinetry. I would love to use several different colors in a custom closet with Closet Innovations, with fun knobs and pulls.

My favorite; Malka In The Closet!

MAGIC HOME OFFICE
This multi-functional living room home office and wall system is cleaned up beautifully when not being used for work. During the day it opens up into a multifunctional home office and work station for the children's home work. Other times it is a clean and lovely wall system.
Made of solid maple door and drawer fronts, a durable counter top with a carved maple edge. The best is the organized spaces of a number of different storage drawers, trays, and file drawers, with adjustable shelving. The best in organization for every home, clutter free and easy to access.
Made and designed by the crew of Closet Innovations / Innovative Design Group of the San Francisco Bay Area.

This is a very lovely front door of a talented interior designer located in St. Helena. Just a very small house tour but it was a favorite view for me that day. I will finish the tour later when I get to know this designer and trusting we will work together on some equally lovely custom closets and cabinets. Great spaces of cabinetry here in St. Helena, straight from our showroom in San Francisco and straight from Closet Innovations / Innovative Design Group and Malka...

A CALIFORNIA CLOSET DELIGHT
Here in this dream closet of a life time with all the compartments this client would ever need.
Appropriate shelving for shoes and nicely deep shelving for her sweaters. Typically sweaters on a closet shelf are two shallow and the sweaters just tumble to the floor. These shelves at 16" deep allow tops and sweaters their due space. Corners are easy to access with delicately curved top shelving for out of season storage. Deeper drawers are in the center of the closet for all the little things that do not set well on shelves or rods. Those little things are of course our knickers and hose and maybe a jewelry drawer, but that is a secret a closet designer keeps with her client.
Closet Innovations / Innovative Design Group created another winner.
