A fine closet design created and implemented in this unusual closet space in an old Petaluma home. I sometimes come across these situations in the North Bay of California with all the unique older homes some being nicely remodeled. With a truly custom closet plan, it can be created to maximize a closet space for ultimate usage and accessibility. Takes a little more work effort, but terrific when done.

Although once I thought it out there was only one plan that I could design for this space. It certainly maximized the space for this client in Walnut Creek without wasting any space or creating difficult access for her clothing. It came out very nice and very functional.

Not really a closet system specifically for our company of RC Cabinets & Closets is a fully licensed custom cabinetry company in California. We design custom cabinets for all sorts of spaces, I just love designing closets. To be more specific we design custom European Integral Custom Cabinets. Integral means the cabinetry are not module but the parts integrate together. What ever I draw we can create as long as I honor gravity and the state laws of California Building Codes and California State Contractors Codes.

I have noticed in the 20 years that I have been designing, is that many companies are not licensed and do not design correctly. Many of our clients in the 20 years of being in business have the same closet standing in their closet as well as the other custom spaces that we have designed for them; Home Offices, Pantries, Garages, Kitchens and other storage spaces. This comes from good design and excellent materials and construction.

The above closet is a very nice large closet system or closet design in St. Helena for a husband and wife. Simple, but well organized, well built and very well planned for maximized space.

Now with plenty of roomy clothes hanging and shelving so sorely missing before. The client had this lovely island of drawers but no proper hanging.

A very simple but well organized closet topped off with a totally neat custom jewelry drawer, with it's own lock. Lined in black velvet with high quality Lucite dividers for all the client's fun jewelry. The lock is not particularly burglar proof but certainly teen girl proof, if you hide the key. This new St. Helena Custom Closet was a winner and delightfully economical because is is basic for being simply organized. Created by Malka and constructed by my colleagues at RC Cabinets & Closet

Can you believe the transformation of the first photo to the second photo? Yes, it is the same closet but different design!

This was an amazing radical before and after closet that I have ever had the privilege to be part of.

This closet is in a home in the Contra Costa County of California in a perfectly designed and gorgeously decorated home of an equally beautiful client. The house is nestled in the foothills, with lovely manicured gardens that included a tennis court, swimming pool, jacuzzi, putting range, and a very happy dog. Every inch of the house was finely designed with imported furniture and fabrics from all around the world, but the closet looked like the mess in the before closet above. The client tried very hard to be organized but due to the way it was designed before, it was a huge challenge.

Then I came in, yes, we may have gone over the top. And yes, it is now perfectly organized and perfectly fits into the decor of the rest of her home, marble counter, chandelier and all. The drawers in the island are of a better and more organized size, the hanging clothing is protected, the shoes are enclosed with cedar and the tie and belt are protected in the tall narrow drawers in the center of the photo.

I am very pleased with the results of this closet and proud of it's outcome. Yet it was the client's desire and wishes that called this project forward to the completion as shown. I trust she now will enjoy the closet as she enjoys the rest of her perfect home.

SCARF CLOSET!

This is an amazing RC Cabinets & Closets of fine design and functionality. It has been my best and most appreciated attribute to my custom closets. A scarf hanging display. In a space behind a door or a narrow walk way of a walk-in closet, all that is needed is a minimum 4" of depth space and at least 10" of width. Generally speaking wider is better, but a deeper depth is not necessary. We install the rods either in a water fall manner or in a downward row. Then the scarves are draped over the rods in a waterfall. The scarves do not wrinkle, one can see all their inventory and absolutely enjoy wearing scarves they may forget they have.
